I would love to talk about a technique that we do in our office that’s like Invisalign, but half the cost and half the time.
If you’re an adult who has a bit of shifting in your teeth or a little of crowding (especially with the lower front teeth), but you don’t feel braces are appropriate and you don’t want the full investment of Invisalign, then there’s a great option for you!
In our office we do a similar technique to Invisalign, but we do it in-house, meaning that we take impressions of your teeth and make plaster molds that gently separate and move the teeth a little, creating our own Invisalign tray that is clear, thin, plastic and removable. We make a series of these trays that will gradually make crooked teeth more aligned again.
There are 3 benefits to our in-house trays:
It takes a fraction of the time and for that reason it’s less expensive and a great option for people who don’t want perfection, but they want their teeth to be aligned more nicely and receive the same result, without that time or financial commitment of Invisalign.
We also can whiten your teeth at the same time! We use the whitening agents inside these trays, so I always tell our patients and their friends that straighter, whiter teeth (even if a little bit straighter and whiter) makes your smile a lot nicer than what it used to be.
When more aligned, it’s also easier to keep your teeth clean and harder for plaque and calculus to accumulate between the teeth.
You get the benefit of it being a fast and easy experience, have a brighter and straighter smile, and it’s healthier for your gums and the rest of your body because it’s easier to keep things clean.
